Dave is Ha-Yooge in Australia

Belgium is next!

This one will require some explaining.

In early 2009, a story floated around the internet about a young woman in Sydney, Australia who was desperately searching for a man she fell in love with during a brief encounter at a cafe.  Seems she was trying to use the 'net to find him, and was hoping the fact that she had the jacket he left behind might lead him to her.

If you want to read the original story I read, go here:

The video the woman posted is here:

After seeing this, I was inspired to share my own story.  I shot it in one take whilst sitting on my bed at home, uploaded it, and waited to see what would happen.

Here's my version:

As it turns out, the Australian people have a really fun sense of humor.  They left some really nice comments at YouTube, and I even got a couple of complimentary emails.

A few days later, it was revealed that the original video was (shocker!) just a viral marketing campaign to drum up interest in Witchery, an Australian-based clothing manufacturer that was on the verge of launching a line for men.

The folks at Witchery sent me a nice email, and I really think they deserve credit for embracing the reaction they got.  I wasn't the only funny response video posted, and some responders even got really into it more than I did.

So, if you know anyone in Australia, you have a fun story to share.

And if you have my jacket, I still want it back.
