Visa -- BOOKED!!!
A little retro-news for a Monday
Let's say I shot a commercial for Visa in the beginning of May, and not wanting to count my chickens before they hatch, I keep a low profile about it.
Let's also say I got lazy about updating this site until, oh, today, and I still hadn't said anything about the Visa spot.
That's cool, right?
And even if the commercial started airing last week (Stephanie caught it during the Today Show) it's not too late to mention it now, right? That's not lame and unprofessional... right?
Well, let's just say that all did happen, and that the spot (titled "Morning in Manhattan") is very cool (it shows people using their Visa cards along their commute to zip through the checkout process -- that is, until I screw everything up with my evil, evil cash), and that it also features my friend J. Elaine Marcos, who was also in Filmic Achievement and is one of the coolest, funniest people I know.
For the sake of argument, the spot was directed by the award-winning Kinka Usher, who also directed a certain Chihuahua who quierod Taco Bell. See that and more of Kinka's amazing body of work at this link.
Theoretically, the agency of record was the excellent TBWA/Chiat/Day, and the spot was cast by the good people at Telsey + Company.
