Dave Has The Shakes
Joins cast of two Bard plays
First, I'll be appearing as Elbow in the Manhattan Theatre Source production of Measure For Measure.
Then, I'll be filling in as Friar Lawrence for two performances in a garden production of Romeo and Juliet.
The challenge of doing Shakespeare is something I haven't taken on to any significant degree, so this is an awesome chance for me to jump in and getteth my feet really wetteth.
Interestingly (and flatteringly) enough, I was cast in both productions by recommendation -- both shows found themselves needing last-minute replacements and I was honored to be considered. My thanks to Meghan Reilly (who is playing Isabella in M4M) and Carson Grant (who is directing R&J).
Measure For Measure opens August 3 and runs Friday and Saturday nights at Manhattan Theatre Source until August 25.
Romeo and Juliet is already underway, playing Saturdays and Sundays at the West Side Community Garden. I join the cast on the final weekend, August 18 & 19. Specific details to come!

I am currently preparing for two Shakespeare productions, both of which will happen in the very month of August.First, I'll be appearing as Elbow in the Manhattan Theatre Source production of Measure For Measure.
